THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE TEXTS ABOUT THE CONCEPTION OF BLESSED VIRGIN MARY OF MEDIEVAL POLAND
Summary
The paper presents some of medieval works in which the Holy Spirit's motif connected with the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is emphasized. They are prayer books, liturgical sequences, sermons, liturgical documents , poetry written in Latin and in Polish. The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception was a matter of dispute in the Middle Ages. In the first part of this article an attempt is made to show the fragments of the works of the Church Fathers, divided in two factions, maculists and immaculists. The paper presents fragments relating to the mystery of the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary from treaties of St Bernard and St Thomas Aquinas, who did not see any theological justification for the idea of immaculate conception and Eadmer of Canterbury secretary to St Anselm, presenting an argument from congruity that Mary was free from original sin. In the second part the literary works are analyzed. In the article special attention is paid to the explanation of theological contexts of presented works and to the showing of literary skill, biblical erudition and religious consciousness of medieval authors.

THE ATTRACTION OF JOACHIMISM. INTERPRETATION OF JOACHIM OF FIORE'S THOUGHT IN CONTEMPORARY THEOLOGY. SUMMARY
Joachim of Fiore developed a vision of the whole of history, with a strongly eschatological orientation, based on the doctrine of the Trinity and divided into three successive eras: the age of the Father, that of the Son, and the final, spiritually perfect, age of the Spirit. Some contemporary theologians are influenced by this original theology and also critique it. H. de Lubac comes to a negative judgement on Joachim's vision because it undermines the truth about Christological fulfilment. H. U. von Balthasar appreciates the basic intuition of the Calabrian abbot, while seeking to put right what is distored in it by underlining the permanent work of the Holy Spirit in the Church. J. Moltmann appropriates Joachim's Trinitarian schema, but refuses to see the three aspects as three successive stages. He also interprets Joachim's eschatology and that of Thomas Aquinas as two complementary sides of Christian hope.

THE SACRED SCRIPTURE IN MEDIEVAL THEOLOGY
Summary
The article presents the relations of the Bible and theology in the Middle Ages, especially in the context of the exegetical achievements of the School of St. Viktor and Saint Thomas Aquinas. Understanding the interpretation techniques of the Holy Scriptures, the role of analysis and synthesis, text divisions, paraphrases or intrabiblical quotes demonstrate the role of theology in its relationship to the Scriptures: it helps to bring out and build a coherent exposition of faith, contributing to a deeper understanding of the truth. At the same time, the Scripture is a source for medieval theology, being organically connected with it.

THE MEDIEVAL MODELS AND THEORIES OF THE HYPOSTATIC UNION - THE BACKGROUND AND THE STRUCTURE OF SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS' CHRISTOLOGY. SUMMARY
One of the principles of the scholastic Christology was the conviction about the necessity and possibility of creating the hypostatic union's theological models. As theoretical constructions their roles were to make presenting of the new theological hypotheses easier.
As the author of this article points out, remarkable medieval attempts of showing the hypostatic union with the correct patterns could be found in the works of Peter Abelard, Saint Bonaventure and Albert the Great. These models were rarely developing their intuitions suggesting the wider perspective only. Because of that the reader learns about systematic panoramic view of the 13th century Christology in the second turn. These are the three existing in that time theories pronounced by Peter Lombard in his Sentences. They define the limits of the medieval Christological reflection and they are the basis of Aquinas' thought which by critically using the whole-part model is the most important subject of this article.

MEDIEVAL THEOLOGICAL SUMMAS AND THEIR STRUCTURE. GENOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF "THE SUMMA THEOLOGICA" BY SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS. SUMMARY
This article is a part of M.A. thesis entitled "The Foundations of Aristotelianism as a Theological locus in The Summa Theologica by Saint Thomas Aquinas. The Ontological Analysis of the Union of the Incarnated Word.". In this article the author tries to show that The Summa Theologica by Saint Thomas Aquinas was written according to an individual, original and well-considered structural idea. According to the author The Summa's Christ and incarnation mystery centred worldview gives to Neoplatonic exitus-reditus scheme that was used in The Summa and other medieval theological compendiums (thanks to reditus per Christum) the Christophoric nature. In addition, it gives to the entirety of the Aquinas' concept the incarnation and Christ centred dynamic.
